BASIC IVF cost includes:

1. The cost of injections, typically ranging between 20,000 – 1,00,000 INR. The cost of injections again depends on a number of factors:
2. The type of injections (recombinant or highly purified urinary preparations or urinary preparations)

ADDITIONAL PROCEDURES IN IVF:

1. Blastocyst culture: The embryos are cultured for 5-6 days inside incubator. This favours selection of only best quality embryos. This might cost an additional 10-20,000 INR.
2. Freezing/ cryopreservation of embryos: Cryopreservation means storing the extra embryos for additional chances. This is also a preferred modality even for first attempt. Newer studies say that results with frozen embryo transfers may be better than doing fresh embryo transfers. This may cost 15 -25,000 INR.
3. LASER assisted hatching (LAH): This is required for selective cases only like those with advanced age or frozen embryos with thick zona or previous 3 failure cycles. Although supportive evidence is lacking.
4. Hysteroscopy/ laparoscopy: this might be required in a few cases where uterine cavity is suspected to have some minor abnormalities like polyp or fibroid which may decrease the success rates of IVF. We may have to perform fertility enhancing surgeries like metroplasty, polypectomy, septal resection, hydrosalpinx delinking etc. depending on the need of the case. This costs between 15,000 – 30,000 INR
5. Other procedures for poor improving uterine lining like endokine insertion, PRP instillation, endometrium scratching may also incur extra charges.
6. E.S.A./ P.E.S.A is needed in cases of obstructive azoospermia where the sperms are forming inside the testis of a male but fail to come out through semen due to some obstruction. The cost of T.E.S.A is generally between 12,000 and 20,000 INR. It offers the advantage of using self-sperms to the couple even in cases of azoospermia.
7. Cost Of Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) For IVF Treatments:

In this procedure, a single sperm is injected directly into the egg under high magnification microscopes. This considerably increases the chance of successful fertilization. The cost of ICSI can range from 15,000 to 25,000 INR.

8. Donor eggs: This is needed for couples above 40 years of age or where eggs are not forming. Here eggs are procured from a donor sourced from ART bank. As the donor needs to be screened, insured and compensated, it involves an additional cost varying from 30,000 -50,000 INR extra.
9. Donor sperms: Needed for men with zero sperm counts (azoospermia) and testicular failure or with severe abnormalities in sperms.
